Hello! I’m 张逸飞 (Yifei Zhang), a vibe coder exploring technology and life. I build things that feel good and write about the journey.

My Name

张 (Zhang) is my family name, tracing back over 3,000 years to tribal leaders who mastered the bow and arrow. 逸飞 (Yifei), my given name, means “to be free.” It represents my parents’ wish for my life—a goal I strive for through the constant acquisition of knowledge.

On Age and Experience

I have 29 years. I prefer the Spanish expression “Yo tengo 29 años” because it treats age as something you possess—not just a status, but a collection of owned experiences, education, and growth.

Roots: Wuhan

I grew up in Wuhan, a bustling city of 11 million. It is hot, humid, loud, and direct. It shaped my personality—teaching me to stay positive, stay proud, and move with purpose. I miss the kindness of shop owners, the quiet corner cafes, and the incomparable tastiness of a Wuhan breakfast. This city is my first love and my permanent anchor.

Reflections on the World

My travels have shaped my worldview across continents:

  • China: A vast tapestry of cultures and regional philosophies, from the economic heartlands to the diverse minority regions.
  • South East Asia: My favorite corner of the world. Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia offer an astounding biodiversity and a warmth that is truly welcoming.
  • Anglo America: I admire the vast landscapes—the canyons and mountains—but I often find myself at odds with its approach to urban living and habitat.
  • Latin America: A “people’s culture” vibrant with dance and music. It is expressive and engaging, though it presents a fascinating contrast between enjoying the present and driving long-term development.
  • Oceania: A fine balance of development and leisure, where the “no-worries” culture creates a unique pace of life.

Why This Digital Space?

This website is born out of an appreciation for simple, functional web design. In an increasingly cluttered internet, I value a clean interface that prioritizes content over noise.

More importantly, this is my sovereign platform. It is a space for unfiltered perspective, free from third-party algorithms or censorship. It serves as my digital garden, a distribution hub, and a place where my philosophies reside.
